Meinhardt

It seems that many are like personal diaries that have always been part of every culture. I keep one—up to date as often as I can.

Let me get right to it on this entry. I’m happy, proud and yes, relieved to be up and running with our new store on Arbutus, just six blocks west of where we began just over a decade ago. Some have asked why so close? I could say, because there’s parking. Of course that’s important, but there are many more reasons. Growing is what I like to do, and we’ve done that. Growing the Meinhardt brand. That too. Serving a newer, wider community. This part of Vancouver was happy to welcome us, and I thank you all for supporting us in the last month or so. Arbutus is different, but it’s certainly no better than Granville. Simply different. And the distinctively different personalities of the two stores will always remain.

As well as thanking all of you who have made Meinhardt your home for all of the good foods we have to offer, a huge thank you to all of the Meinhardt people who helped to make this baby happen. A collective hug for everyone!
